Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Take charge of identity and endpoint security across various Squads.

• Manage the identity provider and Single Sign-On (SSO), enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and phishing-resistant authentication, and enhance the processes for granting and revoking access.

• Conduct regular access reviews and implement the principle of least privilege across essential systems.

• Oversee access provisioning and offboarding processes for both employees and contractors.

• Be responsible for Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) coverage throughout the device fleet, including configuration standards and security baselines.

• Manage device provisioning, handle access requests, and execute IT operations that ensure team security.

• Automate repetitive security and IT workflows.

• Collaborate with the Head of Security on vendor risk assessments.

• Evaluate new SaaS tools and AI integrations prior to adoption and provide guidance on safe usage.

• Address identity and endpoint incidents by investigating, containing, documenting, and escalating as necessary.

• Assist in defining and maintaining security policies as the program evolves.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience managing an enterprise identity platform, including SSO, MFA, and access policies.

• Proficiency in managing MDM and EDR tools across a device fleet.

• Experience in responding to security incidents, compromises, or suspected breaches.

• Capability to evaluate vendor and integration risks, including those introduced by AI tools.

• Scripting proficiency in Python or Bash for automation and basic tooling tasks.

• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to work independently with sound judgment.

• Familiarity with blockchain or Web3 threats, cloud security, SIEM and detection engineering, or AI agents utilized in security operations is a plus.
