SAP S/4HANA Defense & Security Functional Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the SAP Defense & Security Functional Lead and a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, program leadership, and implementation teams.

• Facilitate SAP Fit-to-Standard (F2S) workshops and guide discussions on business process transformation.

• Assess current business processes and create future-state SAP S/4HANA solutions that align with mission needs.

• Conduct fit/gap assessments and suggest SAP standard capabilities, clean-core strategies, and industry best practices.

• Convert intricate business requirements into SAP functional designs, configuration specifications, and implementation roadmaps.

• Offer functional leadership throughout solution architecture, configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support activities.

• Encourage cross-functional integration among SAP business processes and modules.

• Create functional specifications, business process documents, configuration documentation, and solution design artifacts.

• Assist with RICEFW/WRICEF requirements, custom enhancements, reports, interfaces, conversions, forms, and workflows.

• Collaborate with solution architects, functional consultants, developers, integration teams, and cybersecurity groups.

• Aid in data migration, conversion, validation, and reconciliation tasks.

• Lead and assist with System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect resolution efforts.

• Provide expertise on SAP S/4HANA implementation methodologies, governance processes, and release management activities.

• Contribute to Agile project delivery activities, including planning sessions, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and stakeholder demonstrations.

• Mentor and provide functional leadership to junior consultants and project team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

• Over 10 years of experience in SAP ERP functional consulting.

• More than 5 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA.

• Proven experience as an SAP Functional Lead, Senior Functional Consultant, or Subject Matter Expert.

• Experience supporting at least one large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation or ERP modernization project.

• Background in leading SAP Fit-to-Standard workshops and business process transformation initiatives.

• Proven ability to perform fit/gap analyses and develop future-state business processes.

• Experience in translating complex business requirements into SAP functional solutions.

• Skilled in developing SAP functional specifications and solution documentation.

• Strong grasp of SAP end-to-end business processes and inter-module integration.

• Experience in supporting RICEFW/WRICEF requirements and functional design tasks.

• Familiarity with integrations, interfaces, data migration, and conversion activities.

• Experience in supporting System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills.

• Capability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the program.

• U.S. Citizenship required where mandated by the applicable government contract.
