Cloud Security Architect – Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver cloud security architecture and engineering expertise for the design, evaluation, and deployment of secure enterprise cloud solutions.

• Ensure that cloud modernization initiatives comply with Federal security, authorization, and enterprise architecture standards.

• Design and evaluate secure cloud architectures and solutions.

• Convert FedRAMP, RMF, and cybersecurity requirements into system and application designs.

• Perform architecture reviews to identify threats, attack vectors, control weaknesses, and remaining risks.

• Assist with Federal A&A and ATO processes along with the related security documentation.

• Create security controls, reference architectures, patterns, and suggested mitigations.

• Assess cloud solutions against relevant Federal and industry security standards.

• Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, developers, and Government stakeholders throughout the implementation process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to obtain and uphold the necessary VA background investigation/suitability determination and system access.

• Certification in at least one of the following: IAT III, IAM III, or IASAE III certifications.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or related disciplines.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Security.

• At least 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity and Cloud Security at a large Government agency comparable in size/scope to GSA, IRS, DoD, or VA.

• Proficiency in Federal cloud security architecture and engineering.

• Familiarity with FedRAMP/RMF and Federal A&A/ATO processes.
