This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement regional accounts receivable strategies that align with enterprise revenue cycle objectives.
• Support productivity and quality standards while enhancing accountability frameworks and operational guidelines.
• Lead initiatives aimed at speeding up cash flow, decreasing aged accounts receivable, and improving collection effectiveness.
• Drive the standardization of processes, automation, and optimization of technology.
• Provide executive oversight for government, commercial, and self-pay receivables.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as AR Days, aging, DSO, net collection rates, cash collections, denial rates, underpayment recovery, and inventory backlogs.
• Address and resolve high-risk aging accounts, payer issues, and opportunities for revenue leakage.
• Review the readiness for regional monthly closes and assess risks related to cash and revenue performance.
• Guide regional AR directors and managers in meeting productivity, quality, and financial targets.
• Conduct business reviews and performance evaluations.
• Create corrective action plans for underperforming regions, teams, or payer portfolios.
• Implement strategies for inventory management and workload balancing.
• Act as an executive liaison to operational leadership regarding AR performance and reimbursement trends.
• Present performance outcomes, risks, and mitigation strategies to executive leadership and stakeholders on a monthly basis.
• Collaborate with operational stakeholders to enhance revenue cycle results.
• Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning related to collections and AR performance.
• Identify opportunities to enhance cash flow and minimize write-offs.
• Ensure that regional collection targets and financial obligations are met.
• Maintain compliance with payer regulations, government mandates, and organizational policies.
• Ensure readiness for audits and adherence to internal controls.
• Monitor reimbursement trends and regulatory changes that affect collections.
• Lead, mentor, and develop AR leadership teams.
• Create succession plans and strategies for talent development.
• Promote employee engagement and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in business administration, healthcare administration, finance, or accounting.
• At least 7-10 years of progressive management experience in a healthcare revenue cycle services entity with revenues exceeding $300 million, possessing substantial knowledge and responsibility in physician healthcare reimbursement.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in anesthesia practice management with a large anesthesia group, ideally within a multi-unit organization generating over $100 million in annual revenue.
• Proven experience managing a team of 100+ healthcare billers and collectors or a similar processing organization, preferably across multiple locations.
• Demonstrated success in healthcare billing and collections, including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and self-pay.
• In-depth familiarity with healthcare billing system software is essential; experience with AthenaIDX (formerly Centricity Business) is preferred.
• Significant experience in transformation and information technology within a high-volume processing environment; knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is highly preferred.
• Experience in integrating platforms through acquisitions or new business initiatives.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage at all organizational levels, advocate ideas, and foster internal and external business partnerships.

• Capable of managing in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
