VP Product Management, Threat Protection

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Direct a significant product division at Mimecast

• Report directly to the SVP of Product Management

• Participate as a member of the product executive leadership team

• Influence company-wide product strategy and make informed decisions regarding major product and AI investments

• Manage pricing and packaging considerations, competitive positioning, and platform compatibility

• Present investment proposals directly to the CEO and board, including ROI forecasts and risk management strategies

• Obtain approvals for substantial commitments

• Assume accountability for division outcomes and net-new ARR that are related to P&L

• Design the operating model, culture, and talent strategy for the product organization

• Oversee succession planning and the development pipeline for VP- and director-level product talent

• Assemble a leadership team with a deep understanding of AI

• Manage talent, strategy, culture, commercial results, and executive alignment

• Utilize AI-driven analytics to optimize investment and prioritization across various teams

• Establish the AI capability vision, investment priorities, governance frameworks, and standards for product leaders

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in product management within B2B SaaS or enterprise software

• Several years of experience operating at a VP or GM level with accountability related to P&L or adjacent responsibilities

• Proven track record of presenting to and securing investments from a board or similar executive body

• Experience in building and managing the end-to-end operating model of a product organization

• Demonstrated ownership of commercial outcomes directly linked to revenue, such as net-new ARR, expansion, or significant go-to-market transitions

• Strong executive presence and capability to credibly present product strategy to the CEO, board, and external stakeholders

• Extensive knowledge in leveraging AI for product strategy and organizational decision-making

• A clear perspective on responsible, high-standard AI application within a team

• Experience in cybersecurity or related high-trust enterprise software is highly advantageous

• Successful completion of relevant background checks as a condition of employment
