This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and implement Gravie’s platform, architecture, and cloud strategy.
• Develop a unified technology foundation to support scalable product development and business expansion.
• Take ownership of a prioritized platform roadmap that aligns with product strategy, engineering requirements, and business objectives.
• Lead architectural efforts across shared services and product domains.
• Address systemic technical risks and steer significant cross-team technology decisions.
• Actively participate in architecture, design reviews, technology assessments, prototyping, and resolving complex engineering challenges.
• Set technical standards and platform practices that enhance reliability, security, resilience, developer experience, and cloud cost efficiency.
• Develop Gravie’s AI platform, encompassing secure model access, agent orchestration, retrieval and knowledge services, evaluation, observability, guardrails, and model lifecycle management.
• Promote the adoption of agentic development throughout Engineering by providing tooling, standards, training, workflow redesign, and performance measurement.
• Establish common quality engineering practices, tooling, and automation.
• Oversee product support operations, including issue identification, triage, escalation, root-cause analysis, and resolution across Customer Operations, Product, and Engineering.
• Collaborate with Customer Operations to implement AI agents and automation.
• Build and nurture a high-performing organization.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, Security, Privacy, Legal, Operations, and business leadership.
• Extensive leadership experience in platform engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and developer experience.
• Capacity to function as a hands-on technical executive across executive strategy, architecture and system design, technical reviews, prototyping, and intricate engineering problem-solving.
• Proven success in creating shared platforms utilized by multiple product and engineering teams.
• History of enhancing engineering productivity, platform reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Experience in constructing technical foundations for AI capabilities integrated into customer-facing products.
• Familiarity with generative AI architecture, agent orchestration, retrieval, evaluation, observability, and production operations.
• Experience in driving the adoption of agentic development practices throughout an engineering organization.
• Background in implementing AI agents in customer service, internal operations, or software development.
• Experience in establishing or leading product support operations, production issue management, or similar cross-functional capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a regulated environment and collaborate with Security, Privacy, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams.
• Strong skills in organizational leadership, executive communication, financial management, and vendor management.
• Experience in insurance, healthcare, financial services, or another regulated sector is preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
