System Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create solution architectures for IT projects and processes.

• Collaborate with business units and Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM).

• Provide guidance to customers on technological solutions.

• Assist in infrastructure initiatives from planning to implementation.

• Take charge of the IT security assessment for architectures and IT solutions.

• Offer support to customers regarding security, confidentiality, availability, and integrity concerns.

• Collect requirements effectively.

• Analyze possible use cases.

• Evaluate technical feasibility.

• Design high-performance, secure platforms tailored for public-sector clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree or vocational training in a field related to IT.

• Several years of experience as an IT architect or in a similar role.

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies.

• Familiarity with implementing services in diverse infrastructures.

• Initial experience with cloud infrastructures, preferably private cloud or a similar environment.

• An independent and systematic approach to work.

• Customer-centric mindset.

• Knowledge of documentation that meets BSI requirements and IT standards.

• Proficiency in German.

• Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or later.

• Understanding of SUSE Linux Enterprise and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

• Scripting abilities with PowerShell.

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory.

• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably private cloud or AWS.

• Familiarity with MS-SQL, Oracle, and MariaDB/MySQL.

• Knowledge of load balancers, such as Radware Alteon.

• Understanding of middleware technologies like Apache, Tomcat, IIS, and JBoss.

• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.

• Knowledge of network components including TCP/IP, firewalls, and routers.

• Experience with backup solutions and strategies.
