This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the company's quality program across multiple states and facilities.
• Develop, enhance, maintain, and refine corporate quality standards and initiatives.
• Advocate for Quality throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with plants, warehouses, offices, and other locations to swiftly address non-compliance issues.
• Lead, nurture, and mentor a high-performing Quality and Food Safety team.
• Act as the company's expert on quality and food safety regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, R&D, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Marketing.
• Develop and articulate the organization’s Quality and Food Safety strategy and vision.
• Set goals, standards, and priorities that align with business objectives.
• Oversee enterprise-wide food safety systems, including HACCP/HARPC plans, Preventive Controls, internal audits, and CAPA.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to quality and food safety.
• Provide leadership during crisis situations, product recalls, market withdrawals, and other critical quality events.
• Establish and monitor company-wide Quality performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement, reduction of defects and waste, and foster a culture of zero-defect excellence.
• Ensure adherence to FDA, FSMA, GFSI-benchmarked standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
• Perform additional duties considered essential to the role.
• 10-15 years of progressive experience in quality management within a food manufacturing or other CPG company.
• Extensive experience with quality control processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
• Experience with HACCP/HARPC plans, Preventive Controls, internal audits, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Knowledge of FDA, FSMA, GFSI-benchmarked standards (e.g., BRCGS, SQF), company policies and procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
