Senior Vice President, Delivery – Denials Resolution, Payment Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +19 more states.

📋 Description

• Take charge of strategy, performance, and financial accountability for Clinical Denials, Underpayments, and Interest & Penalties.

• Oversee denial review, audit, and appeal operations.

• Ensure that quality, timeliness, compliance, and overturn performance align with expectations.

• Lead the identification, validation, and recovery processes for payer underpayments.

• Manage contract modeling, recovery targets, aging management, and escalation procedures.

• Direct Interest & Penalties recovery while ensuring adherence to payer contracts, prompt-pay requirements, and healthcare regulations.

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing leadership team.

• Establish standards for productivity, quality, and financial performance.

• Collaborate with executive, clinical, coding, compliance, and delivery leaders.

• Drive improvements in root-cause remediation, processes, technology, automation, and alignment with client delivery.

• Report directly to the Chief Delivery Officer.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.

• Direct experience in managing denials, underpayments, and/or payer contract compliance.

• At least 5 years of senior leadership experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams.

• Familiarity with healthcare payer regulations, prompt-pay requirements, and relevant dispute resolution processes.

• Proven track record of achieving measurable financial recoveries and improving operational performance.

• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

• Experience with payer appeals processes, contract modeling, and interest/penalty recovery is highly preferred.

• Industry certifications such as CRCR, CHFP, CPC, or similar are advantageous.

• Must present a valid government-issued photo ID during screening and/or interviews.
