This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of Windsor Path's origination pipeline utilizing Affinity.
• Oversee external BDR firms responsible for generating proprietary deal flow, ensuring they meet volume and quality benchmarks.
• Implement multi-channel outreach strategies, including calls, emails, LinkedIn, and conferences.
• Evaluate targets based on Windsor Path's investment criteria and prioritize the deal pipeline accordingly.
• Ensure pipeline hygiene, accurate reporting, and deliver weekly KPIs.
• Lead initial calls and discussions with firm owners and partners.
• Establish trust and effectively communicate Windsor Path's value proposition to CPA firm owners.
• Facilitate the execution of NDAs and the collection of initial financial data.
• Standardize preliminary financials for seamless handoff to the deal execution team.
• Assist the deal team in progressing qualified opportunities through the LOI stage.
• Mentor and manage a junior Business Development Associate.
• Define outreach cadence, messaging strategies, and activity goals for the BDR team.
• Develop repeatable processes and playbooks as the team expands.
• Represent Windsor Path in the market with integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
• Monitor competitive dynamics, including acquirers, multiples, and Windsor Path's market positioning.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with brokers, intermediaries, and industry contacts.
• 4-7 years of experience in M&A origination, business development, or corporate development within a consolidator, roll-up platform, PE-backed portfolio company, or M&A advisory firm.
• Proven success in sourcing deals that progressed to LOI or closure; specific metrics required.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Affinity, DealCloud, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
• Strong grasp of pipeline management principles.
• Comfortable with cold outreach and building relationships with business owners not actively in a sale process.
• Financial literacy to review P&L statements, identify key metrics, and organize initial financial data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: experience in professional services M&A, especially in accounting, tax, or advisory firms.
• Preferred: experience in managing or mentoring junior BD team members.
• Preferred: understanding of the CPA firm landscape, including firm structures, owner priorities, and succession-planning transaction dynamics.
• Preferred: previous experience at a consolidator or roll-up platform.
