VP of Implementation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

šŸ“‹ Description

• Provide strategic leadership and guidance for all client implementation projects.

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the development of implementation team members.

• Anticipate implementation demand and team capacity; balance workloads and plan staffing requirements.

• Oversee multiple simultaneous implementations, managing project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, scope changes, readiness activities, and go-live criteria.

• Ensure projects are well-defined, thoroughly planned, of high quality, and delivered on schedule.

• Identify delivery risks and initiate corrective actions when projects deviate from the established plan.

• Collaborate with the CTO, IT Manager, Software Development, Product, Data, Client Engagement, Sales, Support, technical leads, and various stakeholders.

• Partner with Product and technical teams regarding new products and significant product modifications.

• Develop and enhance implementation processes, documentation, templates, handoffs, metrics, and escalation practices.

• Engage directly with customers on implementation planning, training, process workflows, system configuration, and data mapping.

• Build client relationships, set expectations, facilitate decision-making, resolve issues and trade-offs, and support client adoption.

• Maintain project scope, specifications, timelines, decisions, action items, risks, and documentation.

• Review contract language to ensure alignment with implementation scope, timelines, deliverables, client responsibilities, and internal commitments.

• Schedule, lead, and document implementation planning and governance meetings.

• Manage communication across teams, dependencies, decisions, and escalations.

• Establish project tracking, reporting, and metrics for individual implementations and the overall portfolio.

• Ensure client data interface specifications are approved and coordinate data mapping, validation, remediation, and reconciliation.

• Assist Client Engagement and SIU with client data nuances and workflow impacts.

• Understand and adhere to Privacy and Security standards.

• Safeguard all protected health information as mandated by law.

• Perform additional duties as required.


ā›³ļø Requirements

• Proven experience leading enterprise software implementation projects, including a management or leadership role, with a demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams of project managers, implementation specialists, or similar professionals.

• PMP, PgMP, or a comparable recognized project/program management certification required.

• Required experience in healthcare or health-tech implementation.

• Strongly preferred experience with healthcare payers, claims, payment integrity, SIU, audit, or similar workflows.

• Proven success in implementing and supporting enterprise SaaS solutions for external clients from project initiation through go-live and post-implementation support.

• Experience managing multiple concurrent implementations.

• Experience in building and developing implementation teams, forecasting resource requirements, balancing workloads, coaching performance, and creating cross-training opportunities.

• Proven track record of establishing repeatable implementation processes and adapting them for new products, significant product changes, or evolving client and technical needs.

• Strong technical and data implementation background, including product functionality, data mapping and validation, integrations, testing, security considerations, and technical issue resolution.

• Highly organized, with disciplined management of project scope, specifications, schedules, dependencies, risks, decisions, reporting, and quality across multiple projects and teams.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interaction with client executives and various internal stakeholders.

• Ability to professionally handle challenging situations, resolve ambiguity, and create alignment across business and technical teams.

• Experience working with remote teams and using standard business and project management tools, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Ongoing discretion and secure handling of confidential and sensitive information.

• Must adhere to company Privacy and Security standards.

• Must not use or disclose protected health information except as authorized or required by law.
