VP, Network Strategy – Management Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the strategic planning and implementation for the expanding ICHRA product.

• Establish provider networks with designated rates for Centene employees and external members across existing and future markets.

• Enhance provider network development and engage in value-based contracting initiatives.

• Aid in the strategy for value-based contracting within the provider network.

• Negotiate provider agreements and create innovative value-based models.

• Foster provider performance focused on quality and the reduction of unnecessary healthcare expenses.

• Support preparations for provider performance meetings.

• Provide decision-makers with insights from historical and projected provider performance analysis.

• Cultivate relationships across various markets with essential providers, provider associations, and stakeholders.

• Lead negotiations with hospitals, medical professionals, ancillary service providers, and community health centers.

• Formulate and execute network development strategic plans with key providers in diverse markets.

• Oversee provider network development in expansion territories.

• Manage budgeting and forecasting related to stakeholder/network strategies, product lines, network expenses, and provider agreements.

• Develop, coordinate, and oversee provider advisory boards, committees, and governance structures.

• Maintain relationships with crucial provider leadership.

• Advise on provider relations and strategic initiatives.

• Assess opportunities for network expansion or modification to align with company objectives.

• Undertake other assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is mandatory.

• MBA is preferred.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare administration, network development, or provider/payor contracting within a healthcare or managed care setting is required.

• Proven experience in provider network development and strategic planning.

• Skilled in provider contract negotiations.

• Experience in leading network development teams.

• Proficient in unit cost management and network strategy budgeting.

• Prior management experience, encompassing hiring, training, task assignment, and performance management.

• Equivalent experience may be considered based on relevant knowledge, responsibilities, scope, and skills that align with the position level.
