This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Manage provider network and contracting operations.
• Direct the strategy for provider networks, which includes access analysis and network management.
• Aid decision-makers in analyzing reimbursement and unit cost management.
• Supervise the coordination and negotiation efforts within the contracting department.
• Assess information to facilitate contract negotiations.
• Ensure the establishment of provider networks in expanding markets.
• Analyze costs, coverage, and growth of the provider network and suggest expansion opportunities.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting for product-line network expenses and provider agreements.
• Review provider contracting rates to ensure alignment with company objectives.
• Engage in unit cost and selective contracting initiatives.
• Define the strategic vision, objectives, policies, and procedures for the department.
• Create, implement, and uphold production and quality standards.
• Facilitate market expansion and M&A efforts through provider contract evaluations for due diligence.
• Support the health plan's CEO and/or COO with key provider relations and strategic initiatives.
• Execute other assigned responsibilities.
• Adhere to all company policies and standards.
• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in network development and provider relations or contracting management within a healthcare or managed care setting is required.
• Prior management experience that includes hiring, training, delegating tasks, and overseeing staff performance.
• Equivalent experience gained through relevant knowledge, responsibilities, and skills that reflect the position level may qualify.
• Preferred experience in contracting for Medicaid, Medicare, and Marketplace business lines covering the Florida market.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• An MBA or MHA degree is preferred.
