This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Develop and oversee the merchandising and brand management department.
β’ Create a structured schedule for line evaluations, pricing discussions, launch preparations, and quarterly assortment assessments.
β’ Establish decision-making authority among brand General Managers, category merchants, and Digital Product teams.
β’ Formulate assortment and pricing strategies by brand and category in line with revenue and contribution-margin objectives.
β’ Streamline the catalog by removing underperforming SKUs, addressing assortment shortfalls, and managing the good-better-best framework.
β’ Collaborate with the Finance team on transfer cost analysis and promotional return on investment.
β’ Manage the physical product roadmap for new launches, updates, and category expansions.
β’ Oversee product launches from start to finish in collaboration with Creative, Marketing, Technology, and Operations teams.
β’ Implement a test-and-learn approach utilizing pre-launch demand indicators and post-launch cohort analysis.
β’ Develop the merchandising analytics infrastructure with the Data team.
β’ Ensure the quality and completeness of product content and catalog data.
β’ Convert customer and competitive insights into decisions regarding assortment and positioning.
β’ Advocate for merchandising and brand considerations in planning, forecasting, and capital decision-making.
β’ Collaborate with product, sourcing, manufacturing, Marketing, Creative Brand, Customer Experience, and Operations leadership.
β’ Create a cohesive organization for merchandising, product marketing, pricing, and new product development.
β’ Enhance contribution margins, catalog quality, on-site conversion rates, and SKU efficiency.
β’ Minimum of 12 years of experience in ecommerce / DTC merchandising, category management, or product merchandising.
β’ At least 5 years of experience leading multi-tier teams.
β’ Background in home, furniture, sleep, or related considered-purchase categories.
β’ Proven success in building or expanding a merchandising function, including processes, systems, and team development.
β’ Strong expertise in merchandising analytics: SKU economics, pricing and promotional analysis, catalog, and content performance.
β’ Demonstrated experience with P&L or margin accountability and ability to collaborate with Finance.
β’ Experience managing product content/catalog operations at scale, including PIM, taxonomy, attribute governance, and marketplace syndication.
β’ Preference for experience with a multi-brand portfolio showcasing distinct brand positioning and pricing tiers.
β’ Familiarity with new product development and collaboration with manufacturing or sourcing partners is a plus.
β’ Experience in a high-growth or transformational setting is preferred.
β’ Knowledge of agentic/AI-driven commerce and structured product data is an advantage.
β’ Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
