Vice President, Innovation & Insights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee Kaufman Hall's Innovation & Growth portfolio.

• Create governance structures, processes, and accountability frameworks for strategic growth initiatives.

• Manage the lifecycle of the innovation portfolio, from idea generation to business case formulation, evaluation, piloting, scaling, or termination.

• Develop and sustain processes for intake, prioritization, stage-gate reviews, sponsorship, success measurement, and executive reporting.

• Assist in the assessment of acquisitions, strategic alliances, and other inorganic growth possibilities.

• Collaborate with Practice Leaders, Managing Directors, and executive stakeholders on business cases, priorities, risks, and sanctioned initiatives.

• Facilitate governance forums for the portfolio and create recommendations for executive-level decision-making.

• Simplify complex analyses into clear decisions regarding investments, growth, acquisitions, partnerships, and portfolio management.

• Track portfolio performance, resources, risks, and dependencies.

• Lead and mentor team members while promoting accountability, collaboration, and disciplined execution.

• Utilize independent judgment regarding portfolio operations, stakeholder coordination, and execution tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, transformation, portfolio management, or a similar strategic leadership role.

• Strong preference for candidates with healthcare experience.

• Proven track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional initiatives within a matrixed organization.

• Experience in evaluating strategic investments, growth prospects, partnerships, acquisitions, or new business capabilities.

• Strong business insight and analytical capability.

• Outstanding communication and executive presentation skills.

• Demonstrated experience in project, program, or portfolio leadership.

• Proven people leadership skills, including coaching, development, and performance management.

• Ability to establish credibility and build trusted relationships at all levels of the organization.

• Work authorization that does not currently or in the future require visa sponsorship in the United States.
