This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Design, implement, and sustain analytical models, algorithms, AI-driven capabilities, and data science solutions that facilitate healthcare benchmarking, performance analysis, entity relationships, and intelligence generation within the Insight Engine.
• Assist in the creation of a unified Kaufman Hall data strategy, encompassing required data and access mechanisms and the coordination of data assets across various practices.
• Convert healthcare data, business requirements, and consulting needs into scalable analytical solutions that bolster Insight Engine functionality, use cases, and decision-making processes.
• Assess, organize, integrate, and manage substantial and intricate healthcare datasets.
• Collaborate with technology teams and technical resources to develop and uphold scalable tools, applications, and infrastructure that support the Insight Engine.
• Investigate emerging analytical techniques, artificial intelligence capabilities, and data science methodologies.
• Preserve analytical models, data assets, technical solutions, and documentation for future enhancements, audits, and ongoing operations.
• Work in partnership with the Innovation and Insights team, healthcare subject-matter experts, business stakeholders, and technology partners.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in data science, advanced analytics, AI-enabled analytics, or related fields is required.
• Preferred experience includes working with large data models, healthcare finance, healthcare operations, healthcare analytics, or healthcare data.
• Previous consulting experience is preferred.
• Experience in developing, utilizing, and deploying machine learning, AI, predictive analytics, optimization modeling, operations research, advanced statistical analysis, or mathematical modeling.
• Proficient in Python.
• Preferable experience with SQL, PySpark, business intelligence tools, cloud data platforms, statistical software (R, SAS), or related technologies.
• Experience in developing, testing, and deploying analytical models using large and complex datasets.
• Capability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Excellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• A basic understanding of healthcare financial and operational performance concepts is preferred.
• A self-directed learner with intellectual curiosity, capable of operating independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• An entrepreneurial spirit that is inquisitive, proactive, and interested in exploring new tools, technologies, and analytical methodologies.
