Vice President, Trading, Operations, Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct the strategic vision and implementation of Trading, Operations, and Billing functions.

• Adapt the operating model to fit Mercer Advisors’ comprehensive family office strategy.

• Collaborate with the CIO, Investment Committee, and Technology leadership to improve the investment platform.

• Establish practices for continuous improvement and spearhead process redesign projects.

• Enhance operational KPIs and dashboards that encompass performance, risk, throughput, service quality, and experience metrics.

• Ensure that operational processes and trading activities fulfill fiduciary and regulatory requirements.

• Fortify governance, controls, and audit preparedness across investment operations, account operations, trading, and billing.

• Supervise best execution practices, implement trading strategies, manage portfolio implementation, rebalancing, and trading workflows.

• Assess and enhance trading technologies, automation, and vendor collaborations.

• Oversee operations, portfolio accounting, reconciliation, performance reporting, and client billing.

• Propel the modernization of billing processes, controls, transparency, accuracy in collections, and timely execution.

• Cultivate, mentor, and develop leaders within Trading, Operations, and Billing.

• Create career pathways, succession plans, and leadership development initiatives.

• Collaborate with advisory, client service, Portfolio Consulting, Technology, Portfolio Management, Compliance, Partner Success, Enablement, and Finance teams.

• Act as a senior escalation point for complex operational or client-related challenges.

• Represent Investment Platform Operations in firm-wide initiatives, integrations, and strategic projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in operations, trading, or wealth/investment management platforms.

• Proven leadership experience managing large, cross-functional teams.

• Comprehensive understanding of operations, trading systems, and billing processes in an RIA or institutional environment.

• Strong knowledge of fiduciary standards, compliance, and operational risk management frameworks.

• Demonstrated success in driving process transformation, automation, and scaling operations.

• Outstanding communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Six Sigma green or yellow belt certifications, Kaizen, or other process improvement methodologies are preferred.

• Series 65 certification is preferred, or the ability to obtain it.

• CFA, CAIA, or MBA credentials are preferred.

• Availability Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional early or late hours as needed.

• Capability to work in a professional office setting or a dedicated home office environment.

• Must meet federal employment eligibility verification requirements.
