
VP, Industrial Market Sector Leader – Environment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Implement the industrial market strategy for the West Environment business line.
• Act as a senior seller and Client Account Manager within key industrial sectors.
• Transform market insights and client connections into a consistent pipeline and profitable growth.
• Drive growth and client executive initiatives for the West Environment business.
• Initiate and advance strategic accounts and pursuits from initial positioning through capture strategy and award.
• Establish and implement the West industrial growth strategy.
• Create industrial growth plans aligned with market priorities and goals.
• Monitor client capital programs and regulatory factors that create environmental demand.
• Identify scalable solutions across investigation, remediation, and long-term stewardship.
• Track market trends and provide actionable insights on changes and growth opportunities.
• Serve as Client Account Manager for key accounts and develop actionable account strategies.
• Build multi-faceted relationships across environmental and operational stakeholders.
• Coordinate account teams to enhance AECOM’s presence.
• Represent AECOM in discussions with executive-level stakeholders and lead strategic workshops.
• Act as an executive sponsor for selected strategic accounts.
• Collaborate with technical leaders to package capabilities and bring solutions to market.
• Mentor teams on executive engagement and client-value communication.
• Prioritize events to enhance access and visibility, converting participation into opportunities.
• Shape opportunities and position AECOM to secure complex, multi-site environmental projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
• 12 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• 4 years of leadership experience in environmental consulting with a focus on growth.
• Proven success in securing large, complex environmental projects.
• Established relationships with senior decision-makers in key segments.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence teams within a matrixed organization.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Willingness to travel 30–40% of the time.
• Advanced degree or relevant professional credentials (e.g., PE, PG) preferred.
• Experience in selling integrated environmental solutions preferred.
• Proven history in market development and building high-performing teams preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial capital cycles and operational risk preferred.
