VP, Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead AlphaSense’s global strategy for external reputation and influence.

• Enhance AlphaSense’s position as a leader in AI.

• Formulate and implement a detailed global communications strategy that aligns with company OKRs, brand narrative, and core values.

• Manage the media relations strategy and collaborate with key agency partners.

• Provide counsel and support to the executive team, including the CEO, on media interviews, speeches, written materials, external engagements, and internal communications.

• Ensure that internal communications are clear, engaging, and consistent throughout the organization.

• Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing communications team.

• Direct crisis communications initiatives to mitigate risks and safeguard AlphaSense’s reputation.

• Oversee the creation of press releases, blogs, social media content, and other materials for executives and the company.

• Establish metrics to assess and report on the effectiveness of communications efforts.

• Lead the Media Access Program that serves hundreds of influential journalists.

• Oversee the analyst relations strategy, engaging with firms such as Gartner and Forrester.

• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Investor Relations to craft financial narratives and prepare for IPO communications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in corporate communications in a senior leadership role during periods of hypergrowth, transformation, or crisis.

• Preferably experience in a technology or SaaS company.

• Proven track record in developing global external communications strategies.

• Experience guiding a team through an IPO, including media strategy, employee communications, and collaboration with investor relations and executive leadership.

• Proficiency in simplifying complex business concepts into clear, compelling narratives and multi-channel communication strategies.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience in crisis communications and reputation management.

• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, hypergrowth setting.

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

• Demonstrated success in collaborating with C-suite executives on strategic communications.

• High emotional intelligence and ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences and levels.

• Ability to cultivate and maintain cross-functional relationships.

• Solid understanding of the financial services industry, enterprise technology, and AI landscape.

• Relevant experience in AI is an advantage.
