Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) – M365 Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, engineer, and deliver operational support for the UCC infrastructure.

• Ensure the protection of critical infrastructure, address vulnerabilities, and guarantee information assurance.

• Administer and sustain UCC systems, including regular patch management and security updates.

• Record technical architecture, configurations, alert thresholds, and operational parameters.

• Supervise the installation, configuration, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software and hardware.

• Implement and uphold monitoring, logging, and alerting for UCC infrastructure using standard tools from agencies.

• Collaborate with team members, networking, and infrastructure teams to provide support for UCC tools and platforms.

• Offer software support for video streaming solutions, live/VOD/mobile player adoption and integration, Digital Rapids encoding, Adobe AMS streaming, video-rich websites, browser technologies, third-party component integration and tuning, and AMX programming.

• Configure and enforce tenant-wide policies for Microsoft Teams meetings, voice routing, messaging, live events/town halls, and app permissions.

• Manage Teams lifecycle, oversee federation/external access boundaries, and integration endpoints.

• Troubleshoot call quality, media stream performance, and meeting connectivity through the Teams Admin Center and Call Quality Dashboard.

• Administer OneDrive for Business synchronization policies, site quotas, retention holds, cross-site sharing links, permissions, and document library thresholds.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen or US Person who has resided in the United States for the past three (3) consecutive years.

• A current Public Trust is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or a related field; additional years of experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Unified Communications, with at least 3 years dedicated to Microsoft Teams.

• Strong understanding of VoIP, video conferencing, and collaboration tools.

• Familiarity with integrating Microsoft Teams in hybrid environments.

• ITIL Foundations certification or the ability to obtain it within 3 months of starting.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate or equivalent certification is preferred.

• Experience with other UCC platforms such as Cisco Webex, Zoom, Slack, and Zabber is preferred.
