This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement a long-term strategy for the cooling segment of the data center industry.
• Set annual and multi-year targets for revenue, margins, and market share.
• Discover new opportunities in the hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and AI data center sectors.
• Drive strategic planning and initiatives for business growth.
• Cultivate executive-level relationships with key clients and industry leaders.
• Keep track of market movements, competitive actions, and technological advancements.
• Oversee sales activities related to data center cooling solutions.
• Meet goals for bookings, revenue, profitability, and market share.
• Craft strategic account plans and spearhead negotiations on major projects and contracts.
• Enhance sales effectiveness through process improvements, accurate forecasting, and pipeline management.
• Provide leadership for customer-facing engineering, project management, and aftermarket teams.
• Represent the organization at conferences, trade shows, and within industry associations.
• Collaborate with Product Management on product roadmaps, enhancements, and innovations.
• Gather customer feedback to ensure product alignment with evolving data center standards.
• Develop routing for products and aftermarket parts programs.
• Forge relationships with data center owners, developers, consultants, design firms, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Accumulate market intelligence in areas such as AI data centers, high-density computing, and liquid cooling.
• Build and nurture a high-performing organization through recruitment, coaching, mentoring, retention, and succession planning.
• Encourage collaboration while promoting accountability, innovation, and customer success.
• At least 15 years of experience in HVAC, applied equipment, or building systems.
• A minimum of 10 years in progressive leadership roles.
• A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is highly preferred.
• An MBA is highly preferred.
• A Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
• A proven track record of leading national sales teams.
• Experience in managing businesses with multi-million-dollar revenues.
• Strong knowledge of chiller systems and applied HVAC solutions.
• Demonstrated success in establishing executive-level customer relationships.
• Direct experience in the data center industry.
• Experience in selling to hyperscale clients.
• Familiarity with supporting mission-critical facilities.
• Experience leading both sales and engineering operations.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Must be home office-based with access to a hub airport for travel.
• Preferred markets include Northern Virginia, Dallas, Phoenix, Atlanta, Chicago, Silicon Valley, or remote locations.
