Visiting Professor, Part-time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop strategies and provide academic support to nursing students throughout their educational journey until they pass the NCLEX-RN exam.

• Evaluate students' learning preferences, pinpoint strengths, and uncover opportunities for academic growth through virtual, individual, or group sessions.

• Implement evidence-based techniques to promote profound learning and enhance clinical judgment throughout the curriculum and during NCLEX-RN preparation.

• Organize virtual tutoring sessions and workshops.

• Conduct virtual NCLEX coaching and mentorship.

• Design Next Generation NCLEX-RN virtual activities, case studies, and workshops.

• Align study resources with course objectives and the NCLEX-RN framework.

• Participate in virtual meetings to address NVCAS project requirements.

• Document and communicate students' academic and extracurricular progress toward their learning goals.

• Assist in projects and resource development aimed at enriching the student learning experience.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.

• A current, unencumbered RN license (in any state) is required.

• At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a patient care environment is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience assisting Pre-Licensure nursing students and NCLEX-RN preparation in an educational setting is required.

• A Master's Degree in Education or a Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred.

• A Doctoral Degree in Nursing is preferred.

• Compact Nurse Licensure is preferred.

• Certification in nursing education (e.g., CNE) is preferred.

• Over 2 years of experience in nursing education content development is preferred.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact via phone and computer in a virtual setting.

• Strong technological skills and the capability to learn various technology platforms.

• Comfortable speaking on camera in virtual settings, whether individual, small group, or large group.

• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

• Capability to engage with individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.

• Broad knowledge of nursing education across the curriculum and NCLEX-RN.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.

• Familiarity with online teaching platforms, including Canvas.

• Self-motivated, flexible, organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and proofreading.

• Must adhere to all policies and standards.
