Virtualization Backup Engineer, Chinese Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Conduct troubleshooting and analysis, including examination of log files.

• Serve as a technical point of contact in collaboration with other IT professionals.

• Manage customer issues from the start of a support case to its resolution.

• Resolve problems related to Veeam and third-party Microsoft and VMware components.

• Identify whether issues are known or unknown, defects, or misconfigurations.

• Address problems in break/fix situations and guide customers on processes and interactions.

• Accurately document all customer interactions within SLA using the CRM tool.

• Provide constructive feedback to developers and testers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

• Advanced user or administrator level experience with Windows Server versions 2016 / 2019 / 2022 / 2025 and Windows 10 / 11.

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, including operating systems and firewall configurations.

• Knowledge in networking configuration and troubleshooting, including NAT, ports, DHCP, and DNS.

• Capability to quickly learn, comprehend, and communicate technical information.

• Willingness and ability to take ownership of client issues until resolved.

• Strong time management skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with UNIX and/or Linux, VMware ESX(i), Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange Server administration, and database engines like SQL/Oracle is advantageous.
