This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Provide remote small-group tutoring to students from Kindergarten to Eighth Grade during the 2026–2027 academic year.
• Deliver lessons focused on literacy utilizing Amplify’s structured and research-driven curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans tailored for each 30-minute tutoring session.
• Log in 15 minutes prior to each session.
• Commit to designated tutoring groups for a duration of approximately 15 weeks.
• Complete initial training as well as ongoing professional development.
• Apply supportive coaching and feedback techniques.
• Potentially earn additional endorsements in math tutoring, literacy tutoring for grades 3–5, literacy tutoring for grades 6–8, literacy assessments, and other special projects.
• Engage in online tutor communities to exchange ideas and gain insights from peers.
• A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be a fluent English speaker.
• Comfortable and highly proficient with technology.
• Availability of at least 90 minutes a day, three days a week (Monday–Friday) at consistent times during the school day, between 8am and 4pm ET.
• Residency within Maryland is mandatory.
• Must comply with U.S. employment eligibility criteria.
• Ability to travel to Annapolis for fingerprinting is required.
• Must have access to a personal laptop or computer equipped with a webcam and microphone; Chromebooks, iPads/tablets, and smartphones cannot be utilized.
• A private, quiet workspace with a professional background is essential.
• Enjoyment in working with students from Kindergarten to Eighth Grade.
• Interest in teaching lessons using the Amplify curriculum.
• Willingness to accept and implement ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Eagerness to participate in professional development and learning opportunities.
• Completion of fingerprint-based background checks is required prior to working with students.
• Must finish paid training within 2 weeks from the start date.
• Completion of tax documents, I-9 verification, contractor agreement, and name-based national background check is necessary.
• $18 per hour for delivering tutoring sessions.
• $15 per hour for lesson preparation and professional development.
• Compensation provided for initial training and ongoing professional development.
• Reimbursement for fingerprinting costs upon submission of receipts.
• Paid training course (approximately 10–15 hours).
• Supportive coaching and continuous professional training.
• Access to online platforms for tutors to connect, share ideas, and learn from one another.
• Opportunity to earn additional endorsements and engage in special projects.
