
Virtual Territory Business Manager β South Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Convert the national brand strategy into a localized business strategy and implementation plan.
β’ Enhance product adoption through meticulous pre-call planning, effective clinical messaging, and patient access education.
β’ Maintain a strong understanding of the disease state, patient journey, and product details.
β’ Engage with customers virtually in a compliant manner using approved promotional materials and digital resources.
β’ Build and sustain relationships with ophthalmologists, retina specialists, IRD specialists, genetic counselors, and other relevant stakeholders.
β’ Utilize digital engagement tools, analytics, and customer insights to identify and prioritize opportunities.
β’ Track lead and lag indicators while sharing competitive intelligence and field insights as necessary.
β’ Keep precise documentation of customer interactions, account strategies, and territory operations within CRM systems.
β’ Work collaboratively with Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, and field teams.
β’ Assist in launch readiness, product commercialization, customer engagement, and ongoing business growth in the designated territory.
β’ Facilitate video meetings, virtual presentations, webinars, and remote educational initiatives.
β’ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
β’ A minimum of 3β5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, specialty healthcare sales, inside sales, virtual sales, or customer engagement with a proven track record of success.
β’ Experience in ophthalmology is highly preferred.
β’ Preferably have virtual pharmaceutical sales or omnichannel customer engagement experience.
β’ Strong knowledge of ophthalmology practices, retina centers, academic medical institutions, referral networks, and the overall ophthalmology market landscape.
β’ Familiarity with inherited retinal diseases, treatment pathways in ophthalmology, and patient identification processes is preferred.
β’ Proven capability to create, implement, and oversee strategic account plans in a virtual setting.
β’ Demonstrated success in building customer relationships and influencing treatment adoption through remote engagement methods.
β’ Existing connections with ophthalmologists, retina specialists, IRD specialists, genetic counselors, and key opinion leaders are highly regarded.
β’ Experience in supporting therapies that necessitate genetic testing or specialized patient identification processes is preferred.
β’ Prior experience in launching rare diseases is preferred.
β’ Background in virtual pharmaceutical sales, inside sales, customer success, tele-sales, or omnichannel engagement is preferred.
β’ Proven success in utilizing digital engagement strategies to enhance customer adoption and business outcomes.
β’ Ability to communicate approved clinical and scientific information effectively and compliantly to healthcare professionals and office staff.
