
Virtual Patient Access Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a patient advocate to facilitate access to medications for prompt treatment initiation, training, and ongoing deliveries among healthcare provider offices, payers, and specialty pharmacies.
• Grasp patient support requirements and communication preferences to provide a seamless and personalized patient experience.
• Assist patients in completing their treatment as directed by the healthcare provider.
• Offer assistance to patients and healthcare providers during the prior authorization and appeals procedures.
• Educate both providers and patients about pertinent payer policies.
• Offer support concerning each assigned patient's coverage status.
• Ensure the accuracy of information in the designated computer system to uphold data integrity.
• Interact with patients, physicians, pharmacies, and third parties regarding access to healthcare services.
• Perform benefits investigations, provide program details, evaluate eligibility, support reimbursement processes, enroll patients in copay assistance, and transition patients to patient assistance programs.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare case management industry.
• Familiarity with medical or pharmaceutical terminology is essential.
• Experience with health insurance and prescription reimbursement is required.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and privacy requirements.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Experience in reporting Adverse Events and Product Quality Complaints.
• Adhere to compliance with program business rules, standard operating procedures, and guidelines.
• Exceptional case management skills are necessary.
