Virtual Medical Scribe

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver real-time electronic medical record assistance as a physician’s personal aide.

• Assess symptoms, document patient visits, and finalize clinical charting for each patient.

• Compose HPIs, PEs, and ROSs.

• Review and interpret lab reports.

• Offer EHR charting assistance directly to physicians as a charting aide.

• Collaborate closely with physicians during outpatient office hours.

• Successfully complete the IKS scribe training program along with required evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Recent experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Assistant, or Medical Transcriptionist, OR completion of courses or training in Anatomy and Physiology as well as Medical Terminology.

• Other clinical experience may be taken into account.

• Must pass an initial medical terminology assessment.

• Must successfully finish the IKS scribe training program and pass all requisite assessments.

• Capability to work from home in a designated HIPAA-compliant environment.

• Reliable internet connection at home is essential.

• Availability to work full, uninterrupted day shifts (8 to 10 hours), Monday through Friday, during outpatient office hours between 7 A.M. - 7 P.M. EST, CST, or PST.

• Commitment to a minimum of 10 months of employment.

• Strong computer, typing, and communication abilities.

• Typing speed of 40 wpm with 90% accuracy (typing test is required).

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Currently residing within the borders of the United States.

• Experience with an EHR/EMR system is preferred.

• Specialty experience in EHR documentation within outpatient clinics is preferred.

• Bilingual skills are preferred and require successful completion of a bilingual assessment.

• Strong leadership qualities are preferred.

• Intent to enroll in medical, physician assistant, or nursing school is preferred.

• Solid understanding of technology and its application in the medical field is preferred.

• A passion for healthcare is preferred.
