Virtual Intervention Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Assist in achieving the educational and behavioral objectives of students, particularly those with Individualized Education Programs.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to assess student strengths and challenges.

• Support classroom intervention methods and adjust general education curricula as needed.

• Aid students with their regular classwork.

• Perform diagnostic assessments to guide instruction.

• Lead IEP meetings and develop IEP goals and objectives.

• Strive for student success, fostering a positive culture and meeting state-specific achievement benchmarks.

• Employ evidence-based best practices in daily lesson planning and instruction.

• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching techniques into lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Act as a case manager for a specific group of students.

• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders regarding students’ academic and social-emotional development.

• Engage in cross-team assignments and projects.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of Ohio.

• Current Ohio Intervention Specialist License is preferred.

• Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.

• Comfortable working in a coaching environment focused on growth, including observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress tracking.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications.

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

• Capacity to work independently while also contributing to a team.

• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI).

• Experience in a multicultural environment is preferred.
