Virtual Instructor – PEP Grades 4–6

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Jamaica.

📋 Description

• Design and conduct engaging online lessons in accordance with the National Standards Curriculum for Grades 4–6.

• Instruct designated PEP subjects such as Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, and/or Social Studies.

• Create tailored lessons, activities, quizzes, and enrichment tasks to cater to diverse learning requirements.

• Leverage online learning tools, multimedia resources, and collaborative tasks to encourage active student involvement.

• Administer assessments, grade them, and provide necessary feedback to students and parents.

• Track attendance, participation, progress, and assessment data to identify students needing additional support.

• Keep precise records of student performance and assessment outcomes.

• Attend scheduled planning meetings, training sessions, and activities related to assessments.

• Engage in professional development opportunities and be receptive to improving skills in online teaching and educational technology.

• Adhere to program schedules, reporting obligations, and quality assurance standards.

• Teach a minimum of two subjects, conducting three sessions per week for each subject.

• Saturday instructors may be required to work up to six hours of instruction based on program demands.

⛳️ Requirements

• A recognized undergraduate degree in Education or a related field.

• Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in a school environment.

• Proven experience in teaching the National Standards Curriculum at the primary level, especially for Grades 4–6.

• Strong understanding of PEP assessment criteria and primary-level assessment methodologies.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Grades 4–6 curriculum and PEP readiness strategies.

• Capability to craft learner-focused, differentiated, and captivating online lessons.

• High level of digital literacy and comfort with virtual teaching platforms and educational technology.

• Awareness of best practices in remote instruction, online student engagement, and virtual classroom management.

• Proficient in assessment, monitoring student performance, and planning interventions.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.

• Availability to work from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

• Willingness to teach Saturday classes, if necessary.
