Virtual Instructor – CSEC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Jamaica.

📋 Description

• Design and deliver engaging online lessons that align with the CSEC syllabus in the instructor’s area of expertise

• Prepare students for internal assessments, School-Based Assessments when applicable, and external CSEC exams

• Create lesson materials, practice exercises, past-paper activities, quizzes, and assessments

• Utilize online platforms, simulations, multimedia, collaborative tasks, and other enrichment tools to enhance the learning experience

• Provide prompt grading, feedback, and targeted support based on student performance

• Monitor attendance, participation, assessment outcomes, and student progress; identify learners who may require intervention

• Maintain precise student performance records and submit necessary reports punctually

• Implement virtual classroom management strategies to foster learner engagement and participation

• Engage in professional development activities

• Adhere to program schedules, reporting obligations, and quality assurance standards

⛳️ Requirements

• A recognized undergraduate degree in Education or a relevant subject area

• A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in a school environment

• Proven experience teaching the CSEC curriculum in the relevant subject specialization

• In-depth knowledge of CSEC assessment criteria, examination preparation, and student performance analysis

• Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics, English A, Chemistry, Biology, Information Technology, or Physics

• Capability to design structured, interactive, and differentiated online lessons

• High level of digital literacy and confidence in using virtual teaching platforms and educational technology

• Familiarity with best practices in remote instruction, online learner engagement, and virtual classroom management

• Proficient in assessment design, grading, data analysis, and intervention planning

• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills

• Availability from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Friday

• Willingness to teach Saturday classes as needed

• Ability to instruct a minimum of two subject classes, with three sessions per week for each subject

• Willingness to participate in planning meetings, training, and assessment-related activities as scheduled
