This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Market Vertex Pharmaceuticals therapies through teleconferences and telephone interactions with designated healthcare offices and providers.
• Share clinical information and educational resources during remote interactions.
• Cover unassigned areas and vacant territories.
• Collaborate with Vertex employees to meet stakeholder requirements.
• Create positive virtual interactions to promote suitable product growth.
• Engage with stakeholders in healthcare offices and establish trustworthy relationships with healthcare providers.
• Clarify assigned product features and address inquiries and concerns to support proper therapeutic application.
• Acquire and communicate intricate medical topics, compliance protocols, Vertex programs, as well as pharmacy and insurance environments.
• Complete the necessary disease-state and product training assigned.
• Deliver approved education-oriented messages and disease-state information to selected HCPs.
• Develop and implement business plans alongside Vertex employees.
• Enhance HCP awareness regarding products and clinical data.
• Provide HCPs with tools to facilitate clinical discussions with patients.
• Assist HCPs in identifying treatment gaps within appropriate patient demographics.
• Meet call activity, adherence, and brand performance targets.
• Accurately generate sample and literature requests and follow up on product deliveries.
• Maintain records for targeted customer calls and requests in the database.
• Offer constructive feedback and suggestions to team leadership.
• Adhere to company, PDMA, compliance, and regulatory standards.
• Operate independently from a remote home office.
• Cultivate the assigned virtual territory and achieve measurable outcomes.
• Perform additional assigned tasks.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in an outbound virtual/tele-sales or field sales capacity, ideally within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector.
• Experience in pain management preferred.
• Experience with product launches is advantageous.
• Strong sales capabilities in competitive environments.
• Proven sales performance record.
• Comprehensive understanding of the total office call process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to quickly learn new software as necessary.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Capability to grasp complex medical topics.
• Ability to comply with guidelines related to compliance, patient assistance programs, pharmacy, and insurance/market access.
• Confidence and aptitude to engage with physicians and various levels of medical office personnel.
• Reliable internet connection sufficient for VoIP calls and virtual platforms.
