This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Market Vertex Pharmaceuticals therapies through teleconferences and/or phone calls to designated healthcare offices and providers.
• Deliver significant clinical information and educational resources during remote interactions.
• Address unassigned areas and vacant territories.
• Collaborate with Vertex team members to meet stakeholder requirements and implement business strategies.
• Foster positive virtual engagements and promote suitable growth for client products.
• Connect with office stakeholders and cultivate trusting relationships with healthcare providers.
• Clarify assigned product features and respond to inquiries and concerns to ensure proper therapeutic application.
• Acquire and convey intricate medical subjects, industry compliance standards, Vertex initiatives, pharmacy, and insurance environments.
• Complete the required disease-state and product training.
• Present review-committee-approved, educationally-driven messages and disease-state knowledge to selected healthcare providers.
• Raise awareness among healthcare providers regarding Vertex products and clinical data.
• Provide healthcare providers with resources to enhance clinical discussions and patient education.
• Establish trust, knowledge, and confidence among healthcare providers in recognizing treatment gaps.
• Amplify awareness of the designated therapeutic area.
• Meet call activity, adherence, and brand performance targets.
• Accurately process sample and literature requests and monitor product shipments.
• Maintain records of targeted customer calls, product conversations, literature requests, and sample requests in the database.
• Offer insights and suggestions to team leadership.
• Adhere to company, PDMA, compliance, and regulatory policies and guidelines.
• Operate independently from a remote home office.
• Nurture the assigned virtual territory and take responsibility for quantifiable outcomes.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Over 2 years of sales experience in an outbound Virtual/Tele-sales or field sales role, ideally with a focus on healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
• Experience with pain management is preferred.
• Experience with product launches is an advantage.
• Strong sales capability in competitive environments.
• Proven sales achievements.
• Deep understanding of the complete office call process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Capacity to learn new software as required.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Capability to grasp complex medical topics.
• Ability to comply with established guidelines regarding compliance, patient assistance programs, pharmacy, and insurance/market access landscapes.
• Confidence and skill to engage with physicians and various levels of medical office personnel.
• Reliable internet connection sufficient for voice-over-VoIP calls and virtual calling platforms.
