Virtual Educator, Students with Disabilities – NY Certified

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Access the educator portal to choose the assignments you wish to undertake

• Instruct using the school's curriculum on the district's virtual platform

• Create lesson plans that are in line with the class curriculum

• Encourage creativity and enthusiasm within the virtual learning environment

• Engage students and promote their learning through intentional, relationship-driven strategies

• Monitor and record student grades and performance

• Participate in district professional development workshops and faculty meetings

• Collaborate with the in-class facilitator present with the students

• Provide virtual instruction and assist students in completing their courses

⛳️ Requirements

• Active New York State Student with Disabilities certification is required

• At least 3 years of experience as a professional educator

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States

• A laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and dependable internet access are necessary

• Participation in a virtual teaching demonstration is required

• A background check must be submitted as part of the application process

• Previous experience in online teaching is advantageous
