Virtual Care, Part-Time, NP/PA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough patient assessments, which include gathering medical history and conducting virtual physical examinations.

• Diagnose and manage urgent medical conditions within the urgent care framework.

• Create and execute evidence-based treatment protocols.

• Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.

• Order and analyze laboratory tests as needed.

• Accurately and efficiently document patient interactions in the Epic system.

• Educate patients, provide discharge instructions, and offer follow-up recommendations.

• Appropriately escalate care to in-person or emergency services when necessary.

• Engage in teamwork and contribute to quality improvement efforts.

• Offer thorough, patient-focused urgent care via telehealth services.

• Commit to working 24 hours per week, from 12pm to 12am, focusing on weekends.

• Work on holidays only if they coincide with scheduled weekends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

• Board certification in the relevant specialty is required.

• Preferably have experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care.

• Familiarity with telehealth and electronic health record (EHR) systems, with a preference for Epic.

• Capability to work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours.

• Must be able to work remotely from home in a state that is approved/licensed.

• Ensure a private workspace that complies with HIPAA regulations.

• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work autonomously.

• Expected to maintain a productivity rate of about 3 visits per hour.

• Must be adaptable to varying patient volumes.
