Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Provide patient care services using a remote technology platform.

• Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care autonomously, covering assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health management, health counseling, and planning for patient disposition.

• Offer education and treatment options for pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sexual practices.

• Assess primary care, acute, chronically ill, and transitional care patients aged 18 months and older.

• Counsel patients on pregnancy prevention, STI prevention/safer sex practices, contraceptive care, and medication management.

• Educate patients on health maintenance and address patient care inquiries.

• Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions in an EHR in line with MinuteClinic policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with both internal and external colleagues to coordinate patient care, including working within a patient-centered medical home framework.

• Participate in a patient care team that includes Providers, Collaborative Physicians, paraprofessionals, Pharmacists, and other healthcare team members.

• Operate independently, prioritize tasks, solve problems, take initiative, and advocate for patients and the practice.

• Commit to full-time overnight shifts from 9:30 PM to 6 AM.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be currently licensed in one of the following states: AK, AZ, CA, HI, IL, MN, MO, MT, NM, OR, UT, WA.

• A minimum of two years of relevant medical experience or its equivalent is required.

• Completion of a Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program is essential.

• Hold a current National Board Certification.

• Possess a State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.

• Demonstrate effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

• Exhibit exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Show initiative, problem-solving capabilities, adaptability, and flexibility.

• Ability to work independently and practice autonomously without direct supervision.

• Proficiency in information management and technology is necessary.

• Capacity to collaborate with professional colleagues as needed to ensure quality care.

• Depending on the market, proficiency in additional languages, including Spanish, may be required.

• Must have broadband connectivity, a quiet environment with a neutral background, and the ability to maintain patient privacy in accordance with CVSH guidelines.

• Ability to operate a computer and phone, communicate clearly, hear patient responses, and read/view computer screens and electronic devices is essential.
