This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Oversee essential litigation support tasks, including document preparation, case management, and the complete discovery process.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys to handle employment law cases from initial intake to trial preparation.
• Manage filings in both state and federal courts.
• Create legal pleadings and discovery requests.
• Maintain comprehensive master case schedules.
• Ensure adherence to court regulations and deadlines.
• Draft complaints, answers, motions, subpoenas, notices, and proposed orders.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including Interrogatories, Requests for Production, and Requests for Admission.
• Draft administrative filings and responses to charges for employment agencies like the EEOC and state fair employment practices agencies.
• Prepare, format, and electronically file legal documents in state and federal courts, including CM/ECF and local e-filing systems.
• Review local court rules, standing orders, and guidelines from judges.
• Maintain a master calendar to track litigation deadlines, court dates, discovery cut-off points, and filing periods.
• Organize and manage digital case files, index pleadings, and monitor case milestones.
• Act as the primary contact for clients, witnesses, co-counsel, and court clerks regarding case logistics and scheduling.
• Organize, assess, and analyze document productions, personnel files, wage/hour records, and email communications.
• Assist in deposition preparation by compiling exhibit binders, drafting deposition summaries, and tracking transcript logs.
• Prepare materials for trial, including exhibit lists, witness lists, and pre-trial disclosures.
• At least 3+ years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, with a direct focus on Employment Law (e.g., discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, wrongful termination).
• Proficient in e-filing systems for state and federal courts (CM/ECF) and knowledgeable about civil procedure rules related to litigation.
• Advanced skills in case management software, document management systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Exceptional proficiency in both written and verbal English.
• Strong legal writing and editing skills.
