This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Convert the ministry needs of the parish into impactful video concepts and formats.
• Contribute to the scope, sequence, and structure of videos in alignment with the product vision and ministry goals.
• Collaborate with writers and presenters on scripts and outlines.
• Work in conjunction with marketing and design teams on video, print, and promotional materials.
• Lead parish video projects from the initial concept stage all the way to delivery.
• Create video project budgets in accordance with the Product Financial Analysis framework.
• Oversee scheduling, crew management, location planning, travel arrangements, and equipment requirements.
• Source and coordinate external talent, contractors, and production partners while directing them effectively.
• Supervise shoot preparations and ensure smooth on-set execution, including managing shot lists and production schedules.
• Coordinate post-production workflows with editors, animators, designers, and other creative collaborators.
• Review edits and provide constructive feedback that aligns with the creative vision and ministry objectives.
• Oversee the selection of music, graphics, and other creative assets for the videos.
• Prepare final deliverables for distribution across various platforms.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and production workflows efficiently.
• Track expenses, manage contracts, and assist in vendor negotiations.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, schedules, and production resources.
• Enhance video production processes and workflows continuously.
• Balance multiple projects while ensuring quality and meeting deadlines.
• Communicate project status, potential risks, timelines, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide support and mentorship to junior team members or freelancers.
• BA/BS degree in the Arts, Film Production, Digital Marketing, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional video production experience; 3-5 years preferred.
• Proven experience in managing video projects from concept through to delivery.
• A portfolio showcasing relevant skills and abilities.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the capability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Proficiency in Office software (Mac preferred).
• Familiarity with Photoshop and Adobe programs such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and other relevant video editing tools and production workflows.
• Experience engaging with social media platforms.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel for on-location shoots and to Ascension’s headquarters in Exton, PA.
• A comprehensive understanding of the Catholic faith and teachings.
• A strong preference for understanding or an interest in Catholic education and formation.
