Video Game Linguist/Translator, Italian – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Convert and/or refine video game content, such as user interface, dialogue, narrative, help text, and promotional materials.

• Review and ensure the quality of localized text for precision, consistency, and cultural relevance.

• Work collaboratively in a remote setting with the Side Localisation project management and linguistic teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Italian and excellent command of English.

• At least 3 years of professional experience in localization, preferably within the video game industry.

• Understanding of MTPE workflows.

• Familiarity with memoQ is preferred.

• Dependable, detail-oriented, and genuinely passionate about gaming.

• Must be able to accept payment in Japanese Yen (JPY).

• Please provide your standard rates in JPY for translation, proofreading, and MTPE in your application.

• Completion of a brief, unpaid translation and MTPE trial is required as part of the selection process.
