Video Game Linguist, Translator – French

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Translate and/or post-edit content for video games, which includes UI, dialogue, narrative, help text, and marketing materials.

• Review and ensure the quality of localized text for precision, consistency, and cultural relevance.

• Collaborate remotely with the Side Localisation project management and linguistic teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in French (EU) along with strong English skills.

• At least 3 years of professional experience in localization, preferably with video game content.

• Knowledge of MTPE workflows is required.

• Familiarity with memoQ is preferred.

• Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and truly passionate about gaming.

• Ability to receive payment in Japanese Yen (JPY) is necessary.

• Please include standard rates in JPY for translation, proofreading, and MTPE in your application.

• Candidates will need to complete a brief, unpaid translation and MTPE trial as part of the selection process.
