Vice President, Third Party Risk Operations – Procurement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee all operational components of the Third Party Risk lifecycle, which encompasses onboarding, due diligence, risk assessments, issue management, periodic reviews, and ongoing monitoring.

• Ensure the effective execution of TPRM processes while adhering to regulatory standards and the risk management requirements of Raymond James.

• Collaborate with Risk Management, Information Security, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Internal Audit, and other subject matter experts.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing cycle times and enhancing business satisfaction while upholding risk controls.

• Create executive reports and dashboards that highlight third-party risk exposure, operational performance, and remediation efforts.

• Supervise critical and high-risk supplier populations along with governance activities.

• Lead during regulatory examinations, audits, and risk reviews related to third-party risk practices.

• Collaborate with the Chief Procurement Officer on digital transformation, AI, and technological strategy.

• Act as the product lead for procurement and third-party risk technology platforms.

• Define and implement technology roadmaps for digitization, automation, and AI-driven process enhancements.

• Spearhead transformation initiatives concentrating on efficiency, user experience, controls, and scalability.

• Establish enterprise governance structures for procurement operations and third-party risk management.

• Provide strategic advice and decision support to senior executives and governance committees.

• Ensure preparedness for audits, regulatory assessments, and internal control evaluations.

• Keep abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

• Engage in executive forums and represent Procurement in enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.

• Lead, develop, and mentor teams across procurement operations, third-party risk operations, process excellence, and analytics.

• Cultivate organizational capabilities and succession planning strategies.

• Set performance expectations and accountability measures.

• Foster a collaborative and customer-centric culture.

• Develop a top-tier supplier onboarding and third-party risk operating model.

• Enhance procurement process maturity, governance, automation, analytics, AI capabilities, stakeholder satisfaction, and supplier experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience in Procurement, Third Party Risk Management, Supplier Management, Operational Excellence, or related fields.

• Proven experience in leading enterprise procurement operations and third-party risk management programs.

• Strong knowledge of regulatory expectations concerning third-party risk management within the financial services sector.

• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale transformations, process optimization, and technology initiatives.

• Experience engaging with executive leadership, internal audit, regulators, and governance committees.

• Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management abilities.

• An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

• Experience in the Financial Services industry is preferred.

• Familiarity with platforms such as Ariba, Coupa, ServiceNow, ProcessUnity, OneTrust, Archer, or similar is preferred.

• Professional certifications like CPSM, CRISC, CISA, PMP, or equivalent are preferred.

• Experience in implementing AI and intelligent automation solutions within procurement or risk management functions is preferred.
