This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the current VP to expand the sponsorship and exhibition business line while taking on leadership responsibilities through planned succession.
• Oversee, assist in recruiting, training, and motivating a sales and sales administration team, expanding to around 10 members.
• Participate in weekly one-on-one meetings and team gatherings.
• Provide guidance during sales calls and participate as needed.
• Assist in managing staffing and account allocations.
• Create and implement best practices to enhance service quality and deliverables.
• Propel year-over-year revenue growth while ensuring high profit margins.
• Act as the primary strategist for sponsorship and exhibition on assigned accounts, gradually managing the entire portfolio.
• Design sponsorship and exhibit packages, pricing models, and sales strategies.
• Identify further marketing and sponsorship opportunities that boost client revenue.
• Construct precise revenue forecasts and fulfill revenue targets.
• Aid in developing expo floor layouts that optimize sales potential.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to clients.
• Foster long-lasting client relationships, lead client advisory boards, and share insights on industry trends.
• Coordinate with operations and other teams to ensure that sponsored assets are delivered as promised.
• Assess and scope new business ventures related to sponsorship and exhibit sales.
• Represent the organization at industry events, potentially as a speaker.
• Collaborate with marketing to create promotional content for the sponsorship sales offering.
• Over 10 years of experience in sponsorship, exhibit, or partnership sales for conferences, trade shows, or corporate events.
• More than 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven success in increasing revenue and developing packages, prospectuses, and pricing structures.
• Experience in managing and coaching sales and operations personnel, including commission structures.
• Exceptional client relationship, negotiation, and presentation skills with senior executives.
• Proficient in forecasting, KPIs, and CRM software.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25–35% of the time.
• Preferred: experience on the agency side.
