📋 Description

• Lead, cultivate, and expand a high-performing software engineering team responsible for product delivery, technological advancement, security, reliability, and operational outcomes.

• Enhance delivery predictability, developer productivity, software quality, resilience, scalability, and cost efficiency while maintaining a balance between innovation, modernization, and commitments.

• Collaborate with executive leadership, product management, operations, and security to convert business strategy into actionable technology priorities and investment decisions.

• Establish metrics and KPIs to assess strategic progress, software engineering effectiveness, AI adoption, and business impact.

• Assess emerging technologies and pinpoint opportunities to gain a competitive edge through innovation.

• Provide guidance to executive leadership on technology and AI-related opportunities, risks, and industry trends.

• Implement MEDHOST’s AI-first transformation strategy across products, software engineering, and AI-DLC with a prioritized roadmap linked to measurable business and customer outcomes.

• Advance the R&D department’s AI-DLC strategy utilizing industry best practices and new technology innovations to enhance engineering and process efficiencies.

• Propel the integration of AI-powered experiences into customer-facing products and enterprise workflows.

• Supervise planning, execution, governance, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation for strategic technology and AI initiatives across the product portfolio.

• Keep abreast of advancements in models, agent orchestration, best practices, and emerging technology innovations.

• Execute and enhance MEDHOST’s technology strategy and architecture roadmap in alignment with corporate objectives, product priorities, and customer needs.

• Lead the modernization of legacy applications, cloud platforms, APIs, and AI capabilities.

• Foster improvements in software delivery performance, quality, resilience, scalability, and operational efficiency.

• Govern technology standards and investment priorities, identifying opportunities where AI and emerging technologies can provide measurable differentiation and operational leverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 15+ years of progressive technology experience, including 8+ years in software engineering leadership roles and 5+ years in senior leadership positions managing large software engineering organizations.

• 3-5+ years of experience in EHR and healthcare software environments.

• Proven success in leading modernization and software platform transformation projects.

• Extensive knowledge of modern software engineering practices, distributed systems, APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, and enterprise architecture.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing AI and machine learning capabilities within enterprise products and AI-DLC workflows.

• Strong understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), AI orchestration, and AI governance.

• Experience working in highly regulated industries and navigating complex security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

• Familiarity with Claude, OpenAI technologies, Microsoft Co-Pilot, and AWS Bedrock is a plus.

• Strong financial acumen with experience managing technology investment portfolios and business cases.

• Proven ability to build and scale high-performance engineering organizations.
