
Vice President, Revenue Cycle – Behavioral Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.
• Manage revenue generation and strategies related to the revenue cycle across Lifepoint Health.
• Spearhead the ongoing development of an innovative revenue cycle function as the organization expands.
• Supervise scalable billing and payer processes that support both current operations and projected growth.
• Oversee billing staff and offer recommendations for hiring, promotions, salary changes, and personnel decisions.
• Maintain relationships with external billing organizations.
• Collaborate with site-level clinicians and support staff to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, accuracy, and compliance of billing.
• Assess emerging technologies and outsourced services, including options for acquisition and implementation.
• Analyze the cost-effectiveness of outsourcing versus internalizing functions.
• Develop and interpret policies and procedures while suggesting modifications.
• Provide insights to senior management regarding revenue recognition and collections.
• Directly supervise Director-level positions and indirectly manage a team of over 19 full-time employees.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• A Master’s Degree in Business or Finance is highly preferred.
• At least 15 years of professional experience in relevant fields.
• Significant experience in Senior Revenue Cycle Management within a hospital billing context is strongly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of revenue cycle processes and third-party payer reimbursement, including both commercial and government payors.
• Proficiency in utilizing and training team members on payment strategies, extensions, and loss mitigation techniques.
• Experience in implementing or enhancing tracking reports and detailed accounts of all payment activities.
• Proven ability to collaborate across various levels and functions within a private equity or public company.
• Must possess authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% of the time.
