This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the development of software, systems, network, telecom, database, application operations, DevOps, SRE, and NOC teams into a unified Production Engineering function.
• Transition from reactive, ticket-based operations to software-centric, automated systems that proactively guarantee reliability and scalability.
• Outline future roles, required skill sets, and career trajectories aligned with Production Engineering and AI-driven platform requirements.
• Foster up-skilling, re-skilling, and selective recruitment efforts.
• Oversee the engineering and operation of global cloud infrastructure, telecom platforms, and datacenter environments.
• Ensure that production systems achieve availability, performance, scalability, security, and cost objectives.
• Set and uphold production readiness standards.
• Manage governance for capacity planning, resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
• Position Production Engineering as a fundamental discipline integrated with Product Engineering teams.
• Promote automated recovery, infrastructure as code, synthetic testing, and observability practices.
• Define SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, reliability metrics, and an observability strategy.
• Lead global incident management, escalation processes, and executive-level responses.
• Advocate for AI-assisted operations, automation, agent-based workflows, CI/CD, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Customer Support, and Security teams.
• Guide, expand, and develop global Production Engineering teams; cultivate senior technical leaders.
• Attract, retain, and nurture production engineers capable of managing AI-first platforms at scale.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Over 15 years of engineering leadership experience managing large-scale, distributed platforms.
• At least 8 years of experience leading senior engineering or operations organizations across infrastructure, platform, or production environments.
• Proven track record in leading organizational and skill transformation within engineering or operations teams.
• Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, networking, and runtime platforms.
• Demonstrated capability to establish engineering standards and influence architectural decisions across organizations.
• Experience collaborating with Product, Security, and Support leaders in complex environments.
• Preferred: Experience managing AI-enabled or data-intensive platforms in production settings.
• Preferred: Experience in modernizing legacy operations or NOC-based organizations.
• Preferred: Background in Production Engineering or SRE organizations at scale.
• Preferred: Experience working in regulated, sovereign, or enterprise customer environments.
