Vice President of Operations, Post-Acute Dialysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide executive oversight for all Post-Acute operations while establishing the strategy, priorities, standards, and operating cadence necessary to expand the division across multiple markets and states.

• Develop a leadership framework capable of supporting operations in at least five states as the division continues to grow.

• Design scalable systems, standardized workflows, management routines, escalation pathways, and decision-making rights.

• Manage daily operations of all SNF dialysis programs through Area Managers.

• Ensure dependable, safe, efficient, and contract-compliant service delivery across designated facilities.

• Supervise staffing, scheduling, treatment completion, documentation, inventory management, facility readiness, customer communication, physician coordination, and local financial performance.

• Create and monitor operational scorecards by market and facility.

• Direct the resolution of staffing shortages, scheduling failures, supply disruptions, equipment impacts, and service continuity risks.

• Formulate contingency plans for business continuity and emergency operations.

• Assume responsibility for the full Post-Acute divisional P&L, gross profit, EBITDA, labor, travel, supplies, implementation costs, and operating expenses.

• Collaborate with Finance and the COO to develop the annual operating budget.

• Enhance productivity, utilization, reimbursement, cost control, and contribution margin.

• Participate in the development of pricing models and operational assumptions.

• Collaborate with Finance, Admissions & Billing, and Revenue Cycle to improve documentation, authorization, claims support, denial resolution, collections, and revenue integrity.

• Ensure compliance with CMS Conditions for Coverage, state regulations, HIPAA, accreditation standards, company policies, and contractual obligations.

• Oversee the operational implementation of quality and compliance requirements and corrective action plans.

• Examine quality trends and ensure timely responses to adverse events, infection risks, missed treatments, documentation failures, medication issues, and survey findings.

• Ensure readiness for surveys, required audits, and the prompt closure of identified gaps.

• Manage the implementation of new Post-Acute programs following contract execution until operations are stabilized.

• Guarantee that site assessments, feasibility reviews, construction and equipment readiness, staffing, credentialing, training, physician coverage, supplies, technology, billing setup, and regulatory requirements are completed prior to launch.

• Establish stabilization plans, census ramp plans, customer communication schedules, and post-launch performance evaluations.

• Conduct post-implementation reviews to enhance future launches.

• Maintain executive operational relationships with Post-Acute customers after contract execution.

• Lead service recovery efforts and resolve customer concerns.

• Conduct and enhance Quarterly Business Reviews.

• Identify opportunities for expansion within existing health systems or customer relationships.

• Develop relationships with nephrologists, Medical Directors, attending physicians, facility medical leadership, and the Chief Medical Officer.

• Address issues related to physician engagement, rounding, coverage, documentation, orders, communication, and accountability.

• Directly lead, coach, develop, proactively hire, and assess Area Managers and support roles.

• Foster a culture of accountability, support, authority, and problem ownership.

• Participate in manager-level hiring processes, including interviewing, onboarding, and first 90-day assessments.

• Collaborate with Market Development Managers to facilitate referrals and maintain census.

• Work alongside Biomedical Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, Clinical Quality & Compliance, Contracting, Finance, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Clinical Education, Sales, and other Rendevor divisions.

• Remain accountable for operational implementation, corrective actions, verification, and sustained closure.

• Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, operations management, or a related field is required; equivalent executive healthcare operations experience may be considered.

• A Master's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, nursing, public health, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare operations.

• Significant multi-site leadership experience managing geographically dispersed teams.

• Proven success in building, scaling, or significantly improving a multi-state or multi-market healthcare operation.

• Experience leading through managers, developing leaders, and establishing sustainable operating systems.

• Ability to analyze quality, compliance, operational, customer, and financial data and convert findings into actionable plans.

• Proficiency in full P&L, budget, labor, productivity, and financial performance analysis and tracking.

• Experience managing executive customer relationships, physician partnerships, clinical quality, regulatory risks, and cross-functional initiatives is required.

• Dialysis experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience in post-acute, long-term care, home-based care, specialty clinical services, physician practice, hospital, or other regulated healthcare operations is preferred.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and effectively communicate in English.

• Strong technical skills and proficiency with laptops, tablets, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, etc.

• Capability to quickly learn various technical systems and equipment.

• Regular travel to operating markets, customer locations, physician meetings, implementations, and leadership meetings is required (20–25% expected).

• Must be able to respond to urgent issues outside of normal business hours when executive intervention is necessary.

• Ability to stand, walk, twist, crouch, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms frequently.

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday and some weekends based on travel and unit needs.
