This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Lead activities related to provider network and contracting.
• Drive the provider network strategy, which includes access analysis, network operations, reimbursement analysis, and management of unit costs.
• Supervise the coordination and negotiation efforts within the contracting department.
• Define the strategic vision, objectives, policies, and procedures for the department.
• Create, execute, and uphold production and quality standards for the Contracting department.
• Manage network development personnel and external consultants tasked with creating provider networks in expanding markets.
• Analyze provider networks from the perspectives of cost, coverage, and growth.
• Assess opportunities to broaden or modify the network in alignment with Company objectives.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting initiatives concerning product-line network expenses and provider contracts.
• Direct the analysis of claims trend data and market insights to facilitate contract negotiations.
• Review provider contracting rates to ensure they align with the broader Company strategy.
• Aid in market expansion and M&A activities by analyzing provider contracts for due diligence.
• Support health plan CEOs and/or COOs, as well as vendors, in key provider relations and strategic planning.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities and adhere to policies and standards.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required.
• An MBA or MHA degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in managed care network development and provider relations/contracting management within a healthcare and/or managed care setting is required.
• Prior management experience that includes hiring, training, assigning tasks, and overseeing staff performance.
• Equivalent experience obtained through relevant knowledge, duties, scope, and skills that reflect the position level.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
