This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the Medical Affairs organization for North America.
• Formulate and implement a Medical Affairs strategy that is in line with Global Medical Affairs objectives and corporate priorities.
• Direct scientific exchanges, medical strategies, evidence generation, and stakeholder engagement efforts.
• Provide medical leadership for product launches, lifecycle management, and initiatives related to evidence generation.
• Oversee regional medical contributions to clinical development, health economics, real-world evidence, investigator-initiated research, and publication strategies.
• Ensure scientific integrity, medical accuracy, and compliance across all Medical Affairs activities.
• Monitor scientific data, the competitive landscape, treatment guidelines, and healthcare trends.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Pharmacovigilance, Legal, Compliance, and other departments.
• Build and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders, academic institutions, professional societies, patient advocacy organizations, healthcare systems, and external stakeholders.
• Develop, train, and retain a high-performing Medical Affairs team throughout North America.
• Oversee budget planning, forecasting, resource allocation, performance metrics, and operational efficiencies.
• Communicate strategies and performance outcomes to executive leadership, governance committees, cross-functional stakeholders, and external scientific audiences.
• Provide executive leadership for various Medical Affairs functions and senior leaders across North America.
• MD, PharmD, PhD, or another advanced scientific degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in Medical Affairs.
• Proven success in leading regional or global Medical Affairs organizations and crafting strategies for product launches, commercialization, and lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of Medical Affairs, drug development, regulatory requirements, healthcare systems, compliance, and external stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams that are geographically dispersed within complex, matrixed global organizations.
• Exceptional skills in strategic thinking, executive leadership, financial acumen, communication, and influencing.
• Oncology experience is strongly preferred.
