πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Direct the downstream marketing and commercialization strategies for both existing and new Shockwave Medical IVL products.

β€’ Create compelling product value propositions, positioning, messaging, campaigns, and marketing collateral.

β€’ Spearhead go-to-market initiatives for new IVL products, encompassing pricing, inventory management, account targeting, segmentation, and sales support.

β€’ Manage the corporate and product brand identity, brand voice, and communications across various platforms, including print, digital, and social media.

β€’ Supervise the strategy for medical conferences and associated investments.

β€’ Organize and implement global and national meetings and events for the commercial team.

β€’ Contribute insights into product development programs, market assessments, research, physician feedback, design contributions, product development teams, and portfolio prioritization.

β€’ Manage internal communications and public relations, overseeing direct teams and consultants.

β€’ Offer essential input into the IVL evidence strategy, publications, podium planning, and investigator-initiated research grants.

β€’ Provide strategic guidance on scientific communications.

β€’ Ensure the performance, development, growth, and retention of multiple teams while maintaining marketing functional excellence.

β€’ Collaborate with marketing leadership, US and EU sales, clinical teams, manufacturing, R&D, regulatory, finance, senior management, and influential physicians.

β€’ Monitor competitors, procedural advancements, market growth, reimbursement, and emerging technologies.

β€’ Report to the VP of Global Sales and Marketing and collaborate closely with the President, senior staff, key opinion leaders, and the marketing team.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ At least 15 years of experience in a leadership position within a medical device setting.

β€’ A BA or equivalent experience is mandatory.

β€’ An MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.

β€’ Proficient understanding of business finances, strategic planning, strategic marketing and sales, product development, operations, and logistics.

β€’ Awareness and understanding of the healthcare market and competitive landscape.

β€’ Familiarity with working in a globally regulated environment.

β€’ Preferred experience with balloon catheter platforms utilized by cardiologists, interventional radiologists, and vascular surgeons.

β€’ Medical device experience in the vascular sector is preferred.

β€’ Understanding of public relations, investor relations, and social media marketing and advertising channels is preferred.

β€’ Demonstrated ability to design, build, and lead high-performing teams, including setting goals, providing feedback, and managing performance and career development.

β€’ Excellent relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

β€’ Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment characterized by rapid pace and change.

β€’ Ability to work independently and adjust to evolving requirements.

β€’ Experience in mergers and acquisitions or partnerships is a plus.

β€’ Preferred experience in both startup environments and large organizations.

β€’ Capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting while juggling multiple competing priorities.

β€’ Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.
