This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Drive the strategic expansion of B&D's Public K-12 practice throughout Florida.
• Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with leaders in school districts, including superintendents, CFOs, facilities leaders, and board members.
• Formulate and implement market growth strategies aimed at enhancing visibility, influence, and market share.
• Recognize emerging trends, funding prospects, enrollment shifts, capital planning requirements, and other elements impacting Florida's K-12 market.
• Provide guidance to current and potential clients regarding facility planning, capital programs, development strategies, and implementation.
• Oversee business development initiatives, including client engagement, opportunity recognition, pursuit strategies, conference participation, presentations, and industry involvement.
• Collaborate with regional leadership on pursuit strategies, staffing plans, and client engagement methods.
• Work alongside project teams to ensure effective delivery, high-quality client experiences, and long-term client loyalty.
• Represent B&D through thought leadership initiatives, conference presentations, publications, and industry participation.
• Identify opportunities for hiring, resource acquisition, and capability enhancement.
• Mentor and cultivate staff while building long-term expertise and capacity in Public K-12.
• Support strategic initiatives that position B&D as a frontrunner in Florida's educational facilities and capital planning market.
• Encourage collaboration across various offices, disciplines, and service lines.
• Balance responsibilities in business development, client leadership, and project delivery.
• Approach leadership with an entrepreneurial mindset to grow relationships, services, and market presence.
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, education, planning, engineering, business, real estate, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of professional experience in planning, advisory services, owner's representation, program management, architecture, engineering, construction, or related sectors.
• Extensive experience serving Public K-12 clients in Florida.
• Established relationships and credibility with leaders and decision-makers in Florida school districts.
• Proven success in business development, expanding client portfolios, and securing new projects.
• Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex client engagements.
• Strong knowledge of Florida K-12 funding mechanisms, capital planning processes, bond programs, procurement methods, and facilities planning.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, facilitation, and relationship-management abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity to balance strategic leadership with daily operations.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Florida.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Active participation in organizations such as FASA, FEFPA, FSBA, or similar educational and facilities industry associations.
• Experience in leading major capital improvement programs, district-wide facility assessments, educational planning initiatives, or large-scale development projects.
• Strong professional network across Florida's school districts, educational organizations, and industry partners.
• Proven ability to build trust and credibility with executive-level stakeholders.
• History of building, developing, and mentoring high-performing teams.
• Experience in consulting, owner's representation, advisory, program management, or professional services environments.
• Ability to identify emerging market opportunities and position organizations for sustainable growth.
