
Vice President, Interoperability Strategy – Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for enterprise interoperability capabilities.
• Facilitate the secure and seamless movement of healthcare data between systems and organizations.
• Drive the enterprise interoperability strategy, roadmap, and operating model.
• Manage secure, accurate, and timely data exchanges among members, providers, health plans, and payer-to-payer capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state interoperability requirements.
• Convert regulatory changes into actionable business and technology plans.
• Collaborate with business, clinical, operational, and technology teams to enhance data exchange throughout managed care workflows.
• Establish governance, performance metrics, and risk management controls.
• Oversee partnership management for EHR and third-party integrators such as Epic, Oracle, and Athena.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with providers, vendors, delegated entities, and external partners.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all policies and standards.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration, business, information technology, informatics, or a related field is required.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare interoperability, managed care operations, payer technology, or related domains is required.
• 5+ years of experience in leading enterprise interoperability strategy and execution within a payer or managed care context.
• 5+ years of strong knowledge of interoperability standards and requirements, including FHIR, HL7, EDI, and relevant CMS regulations.
• 5+ years of experience with essential managed care workflows such as claims, utilization management, provider data, clinical data exchange, and prior authorization.
• 5+ years of demonstrated capability to influence across functions, communicate effectively with senior leaders, and achieve results in a complex organization.
• Equivalent experience gained through accomplishments reflecting knowledge, duties, scope, and skills at this level may also be considered.
